We are grateful to share that CAPA has officially completed the Chichewa translation of Fundamentals of the Faith by John MacArthur.
This is more than just a translation project — it is a strategic investment in the spiritual health of local churches across Malawi.
For many pastors, access to clear, doctrinally sound, and structured teaching material in their own language is limited. Fundamentals of the Faith provides a strong biblical framework for grounding believers in essential Christian doctrines — from salvation and the character of God to the church and spiritual growth. Having this resource available in Chichewa removes a significant barrier and places rich theological training directly into the hands of local church leaders.
This week, we conducted a focused training workshop on how to use the resource effectively in the local church.
Participants were selected from our Theology Studies by Extension cohort, particularly from Kasungu and Makanjira — regions where access to formal theological training is often limited.
The purpose of the training was twofold:
- To demonstrate the practical usefulness of the resource in discipleship, membership classes, and foundational teaching within the church.
- To equip these leaders as multipliers, supplying them with copies so they can train other pastors and begin implementing the material in their congregations.
Our vision is not merely distribution, but multiplication. We want to see pastors confidently teaching sound doctrine, believers grounded in truth, and churches strengthened at their foundation.
Healthy churches are built on clear doctrine. When pastors are equipped with biblically faithful and accessible tools, entire congregations benefit.
By translating and distributing resources like Fundamentals of the Faith, we are helping ensure that foundational Christian teaching is not confined to English-speaking contexts, but reaches pastors and churches in the heart language of Malawi.
We are deeply thankful for the partners and supporters who make projects like this possible. Your investment enables theological resources to move from page to pulpit — and from pulpit to people.
Please pray that this resource would bear lasting fruit in the churches of Kasungu, Makanjira, and beyond, as pastors begin using it to lay strong foundations for generations to come.
