Last week marked a major milestone in our work at the Central African Preaching Academy (CAPA): our first translated resource is now in the hands of pastors!
We had the joy of training pastors and church leaders in Kasungu on how to use Expository Study by Joel James—a practical and biblically faithful guide to preaching and teaching God’s Word. This resource, originally in English, has now been translated to make it accessible for local church leaders, many of whom serve in contexts where sound biblical tools are scarce.
This project began in 2024 with a simple but ambitious goal: equip pastors with faithful tools for expository preaching. But we knew it wasn’t enough to translate a book—we needed to ensure it would be used effectively. That’s why last week’s training was so important. We didn’t just hand out books; we sat with pastors, walked through the material, and showed how it can transform their preaching and shepherding.
We’re deeply grateful for God’s provision—in wisdom, partnerships, and the growing interest from pastors eager to grow in their handling of the Word. And we’re thankful for your ongoing support, which makes projects like this possible.
This is just the beginning. One resource. One region. But we believe this is the first of many steps toward a stronger, more biblically rooted church in Malawi.
Soli Deo Gloria.
